Pioneering satellite-enabled solutions globally
It all started with an idea – which became Australia’s first Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation.
Our Expanding Satellite Constellation
Fleet Space’s satellite network – the bedrock of our innovative solutions – is transforming space exploration, defence, and mineral discovery. From powering our end-to-end real-time exploration technology, Exosphere, to delivering ultra-efficient connectivity, our satellites unlock new capabilities worldwide.
A Historical Moment
Proxima 1 | 2
In 2018, Fleet Space launched its first two satellites - Proxima 1 and Proxima 2 - aboard Rocket Lab’s Electron rocket, marking Australia’s first commercial nanosatellites in orbit.
Centauri 1 | 2
Shortly after in 2018, Fleet Space launched a pair of 3U nanosatellites called Centauri 1 and Centauri 2 aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 SSO–A mission from the Vandenberg Air Force base in California.
Our Next-gen Satellites
Introducing Centauri Satellites
Centauri 3
In 2021, Fleet Space launched its fifth nanosatellite, Centauri 3, on Rocket Lab’s ‘They Go Up So Fast’ mission. Centauri 3 leveraged a next-gen payload design, enhancing data capacity and throughput.
Centauri 4
Later in 2021, Centauri 4, Fleet Space’s sixth commercial satellite was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. Centauri 4’s design enhanced radiation mitigation, comms links to Fleet’s Ground station, and extended S-band range. C-4 became the world's smallest voice-enabled satellite in March 2024.
Centauri 5 | 6
In 2022, Fleet Space’s Centauri 5 satellite was launched, bringing advanced beam forming technology, more data capacity, and the world’s first 3D printed patch antennas. Then came Centauri 6, launched on SpaceX's Bandwagon-1 mission - delivering greater uplink capacity and more resilient data transfer to help service global demand for Fleet Space's end-to-end mineral exploration solution, ExoSphere.
Centauri: A Bright Future
In the near future, we will launch our next-gen Centauri satellites – leveraging the latest advances and capabilities to deliver revolutionary satellite-enabled solutions for clients around the world.
Pioneering New Techniques for Satellite Manufacturing
We utilise advanced manufacturing techniques and 3D printing to streamline prototyping and production of our growing satellite constellation. Fleet Space’s next-gen Centauri satellites, built with 3D printed parts, demonstrate an efficient and scalable roadmap for future satellite manufacturing.
